>> there's more than one solution.
Oops, what's the problem here?
Will an aeroplane that accelerates on a runway that is moving against it at a speed equal to that of the aeroplane take off?
2 AlexEro: remember that nasty little limit? It's a bit early to put a full stop on it, as it turns out. It's not that simple, there's an argument on the Mechmatov forum too. If you are interested, look here.
Alexei, AlexEro is a goblin. The more you pay attention to his posts the worse.
Oops, what's the problem here?
An aircraft (jet or propeller) is standing on a runway with a moving covering (like a transporter). The pavement can move against the plane's take-off direction, i.e. towards it. It has a control system that monitors and adjusts the speed of the runway so that the speed of the wheels of the aircraft is equal to the speed of the runway.
The question is: can the aircraft accelerate on this webbing and take off?
No, I don't think so.I remember solving it, but I don't remember the solution.
For it to take off, it needs lift. And where would it come from if it's stationary in relation to the air?
What does he need engines for? :)
I remember solving it, but I don't remember the solution.
For it to take off, it needs lifting force. And where does it come from if it's stationary relative to the air?
>> the wheel of a jet plane is only a prop, there's no drive.
Why isn't it mobile?
Will be able to take off. If the speed gain is not from the wheels, but from propellers or jet propulsion (in which case it does not matter what happens to the wheels of the aircraft)
