What would it take to get everyone to finally switch to MT5? (collecting opinions) - page 58

Specifically, the MT5 terminal didn't suit me at first sight because of order gluing. I am used to locking positions so as not to lose money on my balance. And the inability to block an unsuccessfully opened order is the main and critical disadvantage that drove me away from MT5 from the first launch. Without it, the whole point of such a terminal is lost.

Yeah(

Vitaly Muzichenko:

Yeah(

Nikolai Semko:
With the emergence from the lethargic sleep.
Welcome to the future!
Artyom Trishkin:
Happy Arrival.

Thanks for the loaf and salt. Why, did I write something ridiculous? Has progress surpassed my views on it? :)

Vitaliy Maznev:

That's exactly what I said.

It's like you were lethargic, my friend.

Read about netting and hedging accounts on mt5.

Georgiy Merts:

That's exactly the ridiculous thing you wrote off.

It's as if you, my friend, were lethargic.

Read what netting and hedge accounts are on MT5

Apparently so. In different ways and certain volumes, we're all lethargic. I read it. That's news to me.

But basically, I described my first impression of the MT5 terminal. And probably there are many more lethargists like me. Hence the developers have to make certain conclusions. Has anyone decided to exclude key trading opportunities in MT5 from the very beginning? And this detail has so affected me specifically, that I once turned on this terminal, refused it until I met you, gentlemen advanced experts. Not only that, but other people have opted for MT4 based on my descriptions of their impressions.

However, what is your truth is that it's not a bad idea to study the material before writing. On the other hand, one ridiculous discussion can sometimes change more than tons of material.

Vitaly Muzichenko:

Yeah.

It reminds me of an anecdote - an alcoholic is sitting in his flat, zero furniture, the floor is covered in bottles. He dials the time service on the phone, the robot says, "Seventeen hours, thirty-nine minutes. He, in a hoarse voice, what year, what month?

Vitaliy Maznev:

Apparently, yes. In different ways and certain volumes, we're all lethargic. I read it. This is news to me.

Well done for writing. It's not just you and many, many others who don't know about the existence of this resource, still don't know that it's been 3 years since there is an option on MT5 to open a hedge type account.

Many don't even know what the word hedging means.

And not only that. Many also don't know that the MT5 tester has the ability to test on real ticks.

Yes, MT5 is something unfathomable for me at the moment. I'm used to simple functionality. In spite of its versatility, for me MT5 is still difficult to understand. I've glimpsed some of the difficulties encountered by MT5 users on the forum. It would seem, where in the elementary could there be a problem? So, it's not a fact in the unequivocal advantage of multi-functionality over elementary and conservative. Many people need far fewer features and their priority remains the clarity of the interface and ease of use.

As for the question of "what should be done to make everyone switch to MT5", probably the most probable answer is the same elementary. We need to prohibit all other features except MT5 terminal. :) In fact, that's how most of the so-called progress jolts happen. Here is literally a close example: as of March 1, the old versions of the terminals are being superseded. And in order to fully transition to the new versions, some (myself included) have to go to drastic measures, such as having to find new hardware with more resources and support for new operating systems.

And I see this as a bit of violence. It would be more natural and correct not to be forced out for the sake of change, but to focus on the choices of the users themselves. Progress is often not improvement and development, but rather degradation and schizodysperience. Although in the case of MT5, I certainly understand that for some masters it is an artistic work on automated systems, from which I myself am very far.
