Conversation with a trader - page 18

sllawa3:
forex is first and foremost an interbank foreign exchange market and exists because there are differences in exchange rates... not because there are traders - by definition, even people trying to make money on changes in exchange rates
What difference does it make if a bank or someone else wants to exchange currencies?

leman:
what difference does it make if a bank or someone else wants to exchange currency? and then who is forex for?

I'll explain again... forex is not for anyone... it's because...

the very existence of differences in exchange rates is forex

sllawa3:

forex is primarily an inter-bank currency exchange market and exists because there are differences in exchange rates

what is exchange rate differential ?

Mischek:

what are exchange rate differences ?
the change in price of one currency when buying it for another

sllawa3:
changes in the price of one currency when buying it for another
And if you do not buy, the exchange rate will not change....? (Slava, stop with the enlightenment, send all incomprehensible people to DC courses)

sllawa3:
changes in the price of one currency when buying it for another
You need a good night's sleep

leman:
What difference does it make if a bank or someone else wants to exchange currency? and then who is forex for?
There is no difference... the volumes are not comparable... especially since the person who wants to exchange currency will be in the same bank... and the word bank in forex is not a small village bank but one of the central banks

sllawa3:
changes in the price of one currency when buying it for another

Is this a trick?

Mischek:

Is this a trick?
It's not a trick ... it's a market ... in which the value of one currency is measured in units of another ... and does not stand still but constantly changes depending on supply and demand ... I assume you're done with your enlightenment?

sllawa3:
It's just that the volumes are not comparable... all the more so because the person who wants to exchange will be at the same bank... and the word bank in the forex market is not a small village bank but one of the central banks
To sum it up, forex is roulette for the central bank that they play when they are not collecting debts. A hobby in short.
