If you think that doctorate is too much, then surf on overseas job search servers, look at requirements for people who work in hedge funds, i.e. really make real money trading. The doctoral degree is the minimum without which, in most cases, they won't even talk to a person. You have to think there, not torture the tester in MT.
To write correctly, to state your thoughts correctly is also a part of "being able to think".
