The National Settlement Depository (NSD), part of Moscow Exchange, has launched a new service that allows for the processing of client cross-currency accounts (PVP-1).

PVP is the principle of cash settlement security enhancement, provided that one participant's money transfer occurs in parallel with another participant's transfer.

The PVP service is available to those credit institutions whose foreign exchange transactions are carried out using correspondent accounts and accounts that operate through a trust management service. Currencies that can be handled are Russian roubles, US dollars, Swiss francs and British pounds sterling.
