The place and time of these tests are classified. The purpose is to test new on-board computers installed on fighter planes. Aircraft are networked together, exchanging information and creating a common picture of what is happening. Then the computer processes the data and gives the pilot a ready decision - a possible course of action. All the pilot has to do is to press a button to confirm it. However, contrary to the program, the computers start acting on their own. The pilots lose control for a while. The analysis of the flights leads to fantastic conclusions: the computer has shown an independent consciousness for the first time. This phenomenon is referred to amongst testers as the "wolf pack" effect. What is this? A rebellion? A protest by the computer against its creator? This time, humans have managed to cope with the machine. What will happen next? What to expect from the computer? Is a manifestation of intelligence possible on the part of the machine? The film will show what the fate of man will be in this computer generated world. Will the ever-improving computer win over man? Or will man and computer become one? But will man remain human in this case, or will an entirely different kind of mind emerge instead of Homo sapiens? The film features: Vladimir Akimenkov (military test pilot), Georgy Grechko (cosmonaut), Sergey Lukyanenko (science fiction writer), Nurali Latypov (Adviser to the Mayor of Moscow on innovative technologies), Lyudmila Bolotova (RAEN academician), Alexei Ivanitsky (RAS corresponding member), Sergey Zheltov (RAS corresponding member), Evgeny Chernyakov (PhD in engineering), Alexander Semenov (President of Association "Ecology of the Unknown"), Dr. Tambark (University of Florida faculty), Liselott Harmansson (researcher at the Department of Rehabilitation, University of Örebro).
