When I was looking at the history (I can't call it more than "looking", because I was not testing every opening-closing), I came to the idea that the volume plays little role for entry, and the main role for opening in the right direction is taken by the growth of the price, i.e. the actual break of the candle. This first impression may be wrong, of course...
