Hello Nina,

Was not there a valid sell at 1500 CET around 1.2766 ?

Or do you no mention it, because you are already in a longposition ; the one that runs into a stop loss at 1.2755 ?

How do you calculate these stops ?

I started later on the day and had not yest a position at 1500 CET. I sold at 1.2766 , so I was in the trap to the other side. What to do there ? Did I have to reverse the position at the valid signal of 1.2787 or did I have to sit out my stop ?

I noticed, you did not reverse at the sell signal at 1.2766 ?

Hi!

No, there was not. Histo 14:30 bar closed above -0,4 filter.

How do you calculate these stops ?

We need to look at price action and find a significant high or low and then we ought to see if the stop is affordable.

Did I have to reverse the position at the valid signal of 1.2787 or did I have to sit out my stop ?

Of course you must close your positions if you get an opposite validated signal. So, if you were short at 1,2766, you should have gone long at 1.2787.

Hello Nina,

Thanks for the explication. I am at the moment at page 90 of this thread and was not yet aware of the filter in hist_stepma_stoch. Of course it is there in the chart to see. Is there somewhere a description of the internal functioning of hist_stepma_stoch and anina_v1 ?
