CMC: what is a time period? Is it 64 trading days by GMT clock? Is it 64 * 22 hour periods with an intentional 2 hour gap Mon-Thurs? Is it 64 NY trading markets? Is it 64 chunked, associated and like-with-like reassembled 4 hour time splices?

I'm not sure, 64 is the setting that it defaults to under "Imputs"

This can be changed to any setting, but I'm not sure what the 64 is calculating?

I use a 15 min chart, but the MM levels remain the same on a 4hr, daily etc

The 64 means it calculates the lines from last 64 high and low CLOSES

So 64 on 5 min chart gives the same value as 32 on a 10 min chart.

CMC, I may be wrong...

There are two main versions MM and Octave. MM have version 4 and 5; Octaves have higher number, 8, 9, 9b

You may have Octaves, since Octaves keeps lines on the same place regardles, which chart time frame you are using.

Hi Guys,

I've done the unthinkable and exited my short CAD position @ breakeven on the CAD with this latest correction.

I just don't feel that this latest move up on the EUR will last and the conditions are too choppy over Christmas for me.

If I'm wrong then I'll miss 100 pips, but at least I won't loose anything

I have a question for Trading MM or Daraknor,

my version of MM gives the same readings on every time frame, so which time frame is it calculating the 64 period?

hi CMC

the 64 period you are using is for days. thats why it remains the same for all periods. its the default timespan and will remain the same on all charts

 

Thank you so much for sharing your indicator with us! It is a really great one.

There is still one thing that keeps my head occupied - I can't understand the presence of a level "1.0000". It just doesn't match the information from any of the sources on MM that I have read so far. Is there any problem with that? Thanks a lot, once again, for this great release! Keep up the good work!
