The MT4 Strategy Builder and MT5 Strategy Builder ('StratBuilder') utilities are order management tools, developed to aid traders in designing their own unique
automated grid trading strategies

Sample strategies are supplied however and trading on your account can be automated within minutes, by applying one of these semi-automated sample strategies

STRATBUILDER SAMPLE STRATEGY 1 (using limited controls)


Sample strategy 1 is a basic, but effective grid trading strategy, as only limited controls

(from the extensive menu of order management controls) are applied

[both a one-directional and bi-directional version of this sample strategy are supplied]

 ONE-DIRECTIONAL SAMPLE STRATEGY   *updated 13 Aug '24

To trade this sample strategy, apply all 6 .set files below to charts for the 6 symbols respectively and set the direction of trade for each 


PLEASE NOTE: MINIMUM ACCOUNT BALANCE NEEDED TO TRADE 6 SYMBOLS CONCURRENTLY


 Trader needs to set direction of trade to LONG OR SHORT (input # 9)         

Parameter values were optimised for the following trading conditions:  

  • Currency pairs: 3 digits for the USDJPY, 5 digits for the EURUSD & GBPUSD, 400:1 leverage

  • Commodities: 2 digits for Gold, 200: 1 leverage & 2 digits for Crude oil, 100:1 leverage

  • Indices: 2 digits for US_500, 200:1 leverage

Run (back-test) this strategy for the USDJPY pair, setting the direction of trade to:

  • LONG for the period 7-17 Aug '23
    •
  • LONG for the period 2-28 Feb '24
  • SHORT for the period 28 Feb -7 March '24
    ....for on-screen validation (based on actual data), of how well this strategy performs!

     BI-DIRECTIONAL SAMPLE STRATEGY   *updated 29 July 2024    

    To trade this sample strategy, apply all 6 .set files below to charts for the 6 symbols respectively (i.e. trade multiple symbols concurrently) and only close outlier legacy trades, which may remain behind when a symbol starts to trend 


    PLEASE NOTE: MINIMUM ACCOUNT BALANCE NEEDED TO TRADE 6 SYMBOLS CONCURRENTLY

          

     No directional analysis needed!! - trader intervention limited to closing legacy (outlier) trades manually 

    Parameter values were optimised for the following trading conditions:

    • Commodities: 2 digits for Gold, 200: 1 leverage & 2 digits for Crude oil, 100:1 leverage
