Hi. I would like a loss recovery trade manager EA (yes, another one!). This is based on the traditional idea, but the maths for what I want tells me that I can vastly reduce exposure, particularly as I pay no margin on hedged trades. The mechanics are the same as all other loss recovery algos, but I have some specific things that I wish to incorporate for my specific design. These things include:

  • using market orders instead of pending orders and stop loss/take profit lines etc
  • monitoring the recovery trades using account equity rather than pip values so that we can avoid worrying about spread and commission etc.

There are also some other specifics that I wish to add. I have a very detailed document and spreadsheet to illustrate these, but I guess this can be left for later discussions.

Please note that I have left the Price and time boxes blank as I really have no idea about whats involved!!! Please tell me what you would charge!

EA not opening sell orders in strategy tester 30+ USD
I have a custom EA that works fine in the live market trading, but when doing a back test in the strategy tester , it does not open sell orders. There are no errors or warnings; it just doesn't open sell orders. I've checked every possible reason that might be the reason why it does not open sell orders, but I can't find anything, especially since it works fine in the real market and it opens both buys and sells
