[Archive] Learn how to make money villagers! - page 673

jelizavettka:

I too... am trying... with my crippled template. Can you recommend a more or less good template?

And where do you find the Kim IV functions?

KimIV functions. You can make a template from these functions yourself.

GEFEL:

Ta nah..., I'm not a villager, I can't measure myself, I can't understand.

However I shall tell, that if to throw out of your head youth maximalism, and not to try to make a lemon from hundred tomorrow, the theme works.

So no one's forcing you to measure yourself. I was just asking you to tell me what your thing was that you mentioned. Just get to the bottom of it.

GEFEL:

Don't you have the guts to look at the bottom of the page?

I apologize! Your text was just too long and began with the words "Ilan is a rascal" and I did not read it all! I saw something that has been studied here for a long time!

But I told Alan long time ago that he needs big depots! I fly because this is what I see!

Great! Thank you!

Wow, so many functions!

OnGoing:
I, on the contrary, write from scratch by 90% and only occasionally look for beautiful solutions from others) Of course, this is a matter of taste, and they, as you know, do not argue).
It's not a matter of taste but of saving time. Besides I'm not going to re-invent the wheel which has already been invented by professional programmers. And in the end the result is determined by entry and exit conditions, which basically is a trading strategy. That's why I'd rather spend more time on these conditions, than invent something that has already been invented before. The days of subsistence farming are a thing of the past, you have to make use of the knowledge that other professional specialists have extracted.

jelizavettka:

Oh, great! Thank you! (Laughs)
"Oh, how many difficult discoveries the age of enlightenment has in store for us.") You'll get the hang of it, and you'll be on your high horse.

That's right. It's just that it often takes more time to find such a "professional" solution than to write a procedure in-house, without having to spend the time to integrate the code into your own, etc.

Of course, I'm not talking about trivial things like error handling etc. But it's not always reasonable to search for something you actually need at a particular moment in time, and go into someone else's code. It's easier and faster to write from scratch.

By the way, more often I deal with quite non-standard things, for which, as a rule, there is nothing ready in nature.

And standard ones, such as replacing one of the indices with another, cannot be called coding at all) So, all the same as playing with the parameters.

I can't even play with them!:)

it's coding after all :)
