Yes, Avals is correct in saying that there is no aspiration to the limit in its usual sense.

If this were so, then starting from some number of trials N0 at N>N0 and any epsilon > 0 would be

|CHK(N)/N - 0.5| < epsilon.

Here NC(N) is the number of "dropped Red" outcomes from N trials.

The Law of Large Numbers (LLN) only talks about the limit on probability, not the usual limit:

lim P( |CC(N)/N - 0.5| < epsilon ) = 1.

This means that, say, for epsilon=0.1 we cannot name such N0 that will give us a guarantee that further the accumulated frequency of Red will fluctuate between 0.4 and 0.6 (exactly this guarantee would give us the usual limit). Even after a trillion spins it could turn out to be 0.8. Admittedly, the probability of this happening, according to the WBC, would be negligible.

I suspect this reasoning still doesn't convince you: I know that any formal proof is not convincing until we get some kind of signal from the heart that it is correct. Getting ready for a model test.

I wonder why the classics didn't guess to write that in fact MO = n0 + n*P(A), where n0 is the current value of the event counter. Either they thought it natural and obvious that the concept of random outcomes exists only for the future, or the gambling lobby did the job :)
