Buffet stopped selling data - no more profit collecting :):):)

I was wrong - brokers doing their number (again). They can not resist

I am really curios what will go on now when HFT traders and market makers are supposedly not going to get data in advance. All the talk that Business Wire is stopping "providing" news to buyers of such news seems just like a hush, hush to control the damage and to continue doing the things exactly the same way as before. We shall see

After reading the statement, it is obvious that nothing will change. Keywords bolded :

Berkshire Hathaway's Business Wire will no longer sell potentially market-moving press releases directly to high frequency-trading companies, after months of discussion with the New York State attorney general's office, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

1. they were forced to do so?

2. who is the one to decide what is a "potentially market-moving press releases"?

3. what prevents them to sell to intermediate companies?

All that is just a PR stunt. We are going to be played as usual

Nothing is going to change

That is just a way how the prices for such services are raised - creating a demand with imediate "it is difficult, but it is doable" small print

More than likely that nothing will change
