DESCRIPTION
ATR Grid Trader Pro is a professional automated trading expert advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed for systematic and fully automated trading with strict risk control.
The advisor makes trading decisions not based on emotions or subjective signals, but on real market volatility measured by the Average True Range (ATR) indicator.
The main idea of the system is simple and logical: when volatility is low, the market often prepares for a directional move — the advisor opens buy positions; when volatility is high, the market becomes unstable and prone to reversals — the advisor opens sell positions.
Thus, trading is based on an objective assessment of the current market state rather than assumptions.

HOW THE ADVISOR WORKS
The advisor continuously analyzes the ATR value on the selected timeframe and compares it with predefined volatility thresholds: if the normalized ATR value is below the lower threshold — a BUY is opened; if the ATR value is above the upper threshold — a SELL is opened.

GRID TRADING (OPTIONAL)
When grid logic is enabled, the advisor is not limited to a single trade. It places additional orders at pre-calculated distances in points, forming a controlled trading grid.
The grid is under multi-level safety control:
Distance control — each new order can be opened only if the minimum distance from the previous one is respected.
Grid step control — an order is opened strictly according to the defined grid step.
Order quantity limitation — the maximum number of grid orders is set in advance.
Time filter — the advisor maintains a minimum time interval between trades.
Daily trade limit — it is possible to limit the maximum number of trades within one trading day.
Spread control — if the spread exceeds the allowed value, trading is temporarily suspended.
This approach reduces the risk of overtrading and increases system stability in unstable market conditions.

RISK MANAGEMENT AND CAPITAL PROTECTION
The advisor includes a full set of protective mechanisms:
Stop Loss — limitation of maximum loss;
Take Profit — fixation of target profit;
Trailing Stop — dynamic profit protection;
Break Even — moving the position to breakeven.
An important feature: Trailing Stop and Break Even always start moving only from the entry point toward profit, not from the Stop Loss level. This means that as soon as a trade becomes profitable, the system begins protecting the earned profit and does not allow the market to take it back during pullbacks.

CAPITAL AND POSITION SIZE
The advisor supports two position sizing modes:
fixed lot size;
automatic lot calculation as a percentage of the balance.
Before each trade, the available margin is checked and the volume is automatically adjusted if necessary. This prevents opening positions with an unacceptable level of risk.

TESTING AND OPTIMIZATION
The full potential of the advisor is revealed in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester. You can test the advisor on historical data for several years, select the optimal timeframe for each instrument, and optimize the strategy by trading direction (only buys, only sells, trading in both directions).
Optimization allows you to determine the most effective mode for each market based on statistics rather than guesswork.

The advisor is suitable for trading currency pairs (Forex), precious metals (gold, silver), energy commodities (WTI, Brent), and cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others). It works on any timeframe and adapts to the characteristics of the selected instrument.

TimeFrame — timeframe for ATR calculation and trading.

TradeDirection — trading direction (BUY, SELL, BOTH).

Stop Loss & Take Profit Settings
StopLoss — stop loss size in points (0 — disabled).
TakeProfit — take profit size in points (0 — disabled).

Trailing Stop & Break Even Settings
TrailingStop — enable trailing stop.
TrailingStart — profit in points to start trailing.
TrailingDistance — trailing stop distance from price.
TrailingStep — minimum trailing movement step.
BreakEven — enable breakeven.
BreakEvenStart — profit in points to activate breakeven.
BreakEvenOffset — stop loss offset from the entry point.

MagicNumber — unique identifier of the advisor’s orders.
TradeComment — trade comment.
Lot_Size — fixed lot size.
