HOW TO BACKTEST THE DRAGON PRO EA
Time Frame Settings: M1 & M2 is highly recommended.
The time frame is flexible; you can choose from M1, M2, M5, M15, or H1. (H4 and D1 are not recommended)
Backtesting Delay: Set a delay of 300 ms when backtesting on MetaTrader 5 Tester for the most realistic results.
Currency Pair Testing: The EA has been thoroughly tested on XAUUSD.
Feel free to test it on other popular currency pairs, such as USDJPY, using different option values.
Commission-free(zero fee, higher spreads) or commission-based(low spreads) accounts with the lowest Spreads.
All videos and screenshots are based on testing with a commission-free account.
Recommend backtesting with a top real broker account for the best data quality.
Setup Guide (1): Strategy Setup Section
Default Strategy: London Breakout Strategy
Set your broker's server timezone correctly, then leave the rest as the default setup for this section.
If you prefer a different market session, set the Custom Range Box to CUSTOM.
Custom Range Box: CUSTOM
Adjust the range box start time and end time to modify the accumulation period according to the trading session.
Typically, higher trading volumes and greater volatility occur during the European and U.S. sessions.
Here are example values you can use to customize your own range box:

or 03:00 / 13:01 if you prefer to delay 1 minute.
Setup Guide (2): Risk Management Section
Key Options: Auto Lot Size + Auto Stop Loss

Auto Lot Size: Default is 15 for XAUUSD. This translates to 0.01 lots for every USD15 in balance.
Increasing the Auto Lot Size value reduces the risk per trade. Refer to the instructional video for more details. -
Auto Stop Loss: Default is 68 for XAUUSD.
- Scalping or Day Trading: Default stop loss set at 68 points (low win rate mode).
- Position Trading or Swing Trading: Set Auto Stop Loss at 2500 points (high win rate mode; potential for larger losses, use with PNL Protector).

Maximum Trades per Day: Default is 2 trades per day. You can increase this number, but avoid overtrading.
While backtest results may show higher profits, be mindful that the margin of error naturally increases.
Other values are clearly noted, and it is recommended to use the default settings.
Setup Guide (3): Account Protector Section
Account Protector is designed to safeguard your account from unexpected risks, functioning similarly to a continuous stop-loss or Prop Firm conditions to prevent significant losses.
It also includes the PNL Protector to secure your gains from profitable trades.

Initial Deposit Hard-stop: Set at 0. This triggers an absolute stop level if your account equity drops by this value percentage compared to the initial deposit.

Daily Loss Limits: Set at 2.0%. The EA will cancel all pending orders for the day if equity falls more than 2% compared to the balance.

Daily Profit Target: Set at 2.0%. When the day's profits reach or exceed 2%, the EA will cancel any remaining pending orders for the day to secure an advantage for the next trading day.
Set value is 0% to disable this option. -
PNL Protector by Trailing Stop: This option protects your gains once your account becomes profitable.
It operates similarly to a trailing stop-loss and includes settings for PNL start percentage, PNL stop, and PNL trailing steps.- PNL Trailing Start: Set at 127%. Activates PNL protection mode when profit doubles the initial deposit (X2).
- PNL Trailing Stop: Set at 66%. This locks in profits when the trailing start is triggered.
- PNL Trailing Step: Set at 8%. Each time the account profit increases by 8%, the locked profits will be updated accordingly.
