After using my current MT4 Overlay indicator, it seems when there is missing
historical data, the two overlay currencies become out of sync on the single
overlay chart. So for example, if 1 hours’ worth of data is missing in GBP/USD
when being overlaid onto EUR/USD, then GBP/USD is out of sync by 1 hour. The indicator
needs changing so that each candle/bar/line in GBP/USD is overlaid with that
exact same candle/bar/line of EUR/USD relative to time. At the moment it seems
like the indicator just takes a picture of all the historical data and overlays
it onto the currency pair of your choice, and this is why you get them out of
sync if data is missing.
In short, the reference points between both pairs need to be calculated by
the actual time, so that each currency is always in sync with its overlaying
partner, no matter is data is missing or not.
I have attached the indicator that I have been using, and I wold like all
the variables to remain on the indicator.
