Simple alert system - Email when criteria is hit

I would like an alert system setup to identify any instrument on my MT4 when 2 simple criteria are met (moving average & stochastic). As soon as that criteria is met I'd like an email sent so I can then make decisions. I would need this for both long and short. I don't want this to be 'applied' over the chart, I just want to be alerted when the criteria is met and for the alert to come via email. Although it would be good to be able to apply it over the chart for confirmation etc.

The best way to describe this is I have metastock for stocks. I run my end of day scan across my stocks and it shortlists all those stocks that meet the MA and stochastic criteria. I think sort through them and place my orders. Simple. But I have never been able to work out how to do that in MT4.

Can anyone please help?
