This Expert Advisor (EA) will not open new trades. It will only monitor and close open trades that were opened by a grid/averaging EA. The EA will close the latest two trades based on a set profit, which factors in the commission and swap. The inputs of the EA are the following:

  • Magic number: This is the magic number of the grid/averaging EA that opened the trades that the EA will monitor.
  • Currency pair: This is the currency pair of the trades that the EA will monitor.
  • Trade number start: This is the trade number of the first trade that the EA will monitor.
  • Set profit: This is the set profit that the EA will use to close the latest two trades.

For example, let's say there are six open trades (20 pips distance between trades), all in profit, Trade1, Trade2, Trade3, Trade4, Trade5, and Trade6. Then the trend reverses and Trade6 goes negative profit. The EA will close Trade6 and Trade5 when the average profit of the two, including commission and swap, reaches the set "profit to close two trades", say $1. Then the EA will continue to monitor the remaining open trades and will only stop closing trades if the remaining trades are only what was set in "trade number to start monitoring" (if set at trade 3, the EA will stop closing trades if the only remaining trades are Trade1 and Trade2, but will again monitor when a new trade, Trade 3, opens).
