Price Action Quant

This is an automated trading EA based on the price action method.

It does not use indicators to identify entry points but instead relies on analyzing price momentum, impulse, and movement.

The EA will look for areas where a breakout is about to occur and where momentum is building up.

The principle remains to trade with the trend, manage losses strictly, and let profits run as far as possible.

Important Note: Patience is essential when using my EA. It requires time to accumulate a sufficient number of trades for its edge and expected value to manifest.

Unlike many EAs on the market that rely on grid trading, martingale, DCA, or operate without stop-losses, those methods often promise steady profits but expose users to significant tail risks. A single major trend or unexpected market event can result in catastrophic losses.

Trading with tail risk is like playing Russian roulette—success may appear consistent for a while, but eventually, one adverse event will wipe out substantial capital. My EA, on the other hand, is specifically designed to capture trends while remaining resilient to black swan events.

Many traders fail because they try to predict market tops and bottoms while employing risky money management strategies. In doing so, they often become the source of profits for those who trade with discipline, proper risk management, and well-defined strategies—like us.

Easy to Use: My EA is user-friendly and straightforward to set up. You can customize the risk settings—choose between percentage risk, fixed dollar amount, or fixed lot size—and run it seamlessly on the H1 timeframe.

The EA is capable of trading multiple pairs from a single chart. To enable this, ensure the symbols in the input section align with your broker's format and are added to the market watch list. Then, attach the EA to the BTCUSD or EURUSD H1 chart. Additionally, the EA supports backtesting on multiple pairs simultaneously using this feature.

Recommended Assets: USDJPY, GBPJPY, BTCUSD, GOLD, OIL, USTEC, NIKKEI 225.

Recommended Risk Level: 0.5% - 1% of your account capital per trade, which keeps the maximum drawdown below 20%. For example, with a $10,000 account, you should risk approximately $50-$100 per trade. 

If you use multiple EAs simultaneously, reduce the risk to 0.2-0.3%.

To protect users, I will gradually increase the price of this EA as more people purchase it.

1. Initial Setup

• Add the EA to the chart:
  • Open your trading platform (MT5).
  • Drag the EA from the Expert Advisors folder onto the chart of the desired trading pair.
• Configure the parameters:
  • Choose the risk management function:
    • MODE_RISKMONEY: Enter a fixed amount in the Fixed Money field.
    • MODE_PERCENTACCOUNT: Enter the risk percentage in the % Risk On Current Balance field.
    • MODE_FIXLOT: Enter a fixed lot size in the Fixed Lots field.
  • Magic Number: Input a unique Magic Number to distinguish this EA’s trades from others.
  • Trade On Multi Symbol?:
    • False: The EA will only trade on the current chart.
    • True: The EA will trade on all symbols listed in the Map Of Symbol field. Ensure that the symbols are entered correctly (case-sensitive), separated by commas ( , ), and added to Market Watch.
  • GMT Hour: Enter the broker server’s GMT time when backtesting. For live trading, the EA will automatically adjust the time.

2. Activating the EA

• Ensure the AutoTrading button on your platform is enabled.
• Check for the smiling face 😊 on the chart to confirm the EA is running.

3. Notes

• Map Of Symbol: If using multi-symbol mode (Trade On Multi Symbol? = true):
  • Ensure symbol names match the broker’s naming convention exactly, separated by commas ( , ).
  • Add all symbols to Market Watch to avoid errors.
  • If you do not use the Trade On Multi Symbol feature (Trade On Multi Symbol? = false), the 'Map Of Symbol' field will not be used.
    
• Time Conversion: The EA will handle time conversion automatically during live trading. For backtesting, manually input the broker’s GMT time.  In live trading, you don’t need to adjust the GMT Hour because the EA will automatically convert the time.
• Although my EA does not manage trades based on magic numbers, you still need to input a Magic Number to differentiate it from other EAs (if you are using any). This prevents them from mistakenly reading my EA's orders.
  

4. Monitoring and Managing Trades

• Check trades in the Trade tab.
• Verify the Magic Number in the Account History tab to ensure the EA's trades are not confused with others.

5. Troubleshooting

• If issues arise, verify:
  • The accuracy of symbol names in the Map Of Symbol field.
  • No Magic Number conflicts with other EAs.
  • All required symbols are added to Market Watch.
