Hi there,


I am looking to have an EA produced following a simple strategy that I believe would be more profitable done by an EA and semi-managed by myself.


Essentially it BUYs & SELLs on the ideal circumstances set by only a few simple indicators. I would like some additional options to set parameters for extensive back-testing.


The Indicators for Strategy:

  • SMA - 50 (Simple Moving Average) 
  • EMA - 15 (Exponential Moving Average)
  • EMA - 10 (Exponential Moving Average)
  • Parabolic SAR (Standard inputs) (optional for strategy)


Strategy Method:

  • All 3 EMAs are spread apart. One on top of the other. If the EMA10 is over the EMA15 and BOTH are on top of the SMA50; this is a BUY (Bullish) trend. The same for the SELL, if the SMA50 is ABOVE the EMA15 and that is ABOVE the EMA10 then this is a Bearish trend.
  • When all three are in such a layout as previously stated and for example in a 'Bullish' trend, the EA is to enter a trade when the market price has crossed below the EMA10 and then the EMA15 in one action. So to paint the picture as per the screen grab attached. The SMA50 is below the EMA15 which is below the EMA10, the market price is above the EMA10. It then falls below and crosses the EMA10 and hits the EMA15. This will trigger a BUY. Vice versa for a SELL.
  • A Stop Loss is created on the SMA50 where it is on the same candle
  • The EA opens a position with an optional lot size in the parameters (fixed, % on balance to stop loss distance etc)
  • There will be a Stop Loss (SL) and a optional Take Profit (TP)

And that's it! As mentioned I will require a few optional parameters for me to do back-testing.


Primary Parameters Required:

  • Lot Size Option: Fixed lot size / % based (on balance calculated of the SL distance)
  • SL: Fixed stop loss on SMA50 / option to turn on trailing SL and how many pips
  • TP: No TP / Ratio TP (times the distance of the SL. A 1:2 risk/return type TP) / Fixed TP (amount of Pips from entry)
  • Parabolic SAR Confirmation: Optional additional confirmation to turn on/off (if the market is Bullish, we want the PSARs to be beneath the market price, like another EMA/SMA) (having it off allows more opportunities but maybe at more risk)
  • Active Time: Can only enter trades between certain times of the day
