When I test my EAs they always do better when using "Open Pricing Mode" in the MT5 strategy tester.
I want to develop code the mimics Open Pricing Mode on Real Ticks / Live Trading.
I have written a simple EA that buys and sells and reuses code that is free on the web in order to develop a proof of concept.
When I run the strategy tester with "Opening Pricing" and the EA set to Open Pricing or Real Ticks I get a final balance of number X. When I run the strategy tester with "Real Ticks All Ticks" and the EA to "Opening Pricing"...I want to get the same number X...however I get a number Y...its close but wrong. They also trade differently when you look at the logs.
What I want is when:
Strategy Tester = "Opening Pricing" && the EA set to Open Pricing or Real Ticks
to be the same result as
Strategy Tester = " Real Tick All Ticks" && the EA set to "Open Pricing" .
Success if that you can swap between the settings above in the tester and the EA and get the results. Should have same trades in logs and on the visual backtester.
