Sonic R Final

This is an EA designed for automated trading based on the Sonic R system.

The system focuses on identifying trend continuation pullback setups or early reversal signals.

It uses the EMA 89 and the EMA 34 bands, referred to as the "Dragon Band."

The EA waits for price to retest these areas and then looks for the best entry signals.

Stop-losses are placed tightly and are trailed along the trend as the price moves favorably.

Why Patience Matters?

When using my EA, patience is crucial. It takes time to accumulate enough trades for its statistical edge and expected value to take effect. Unlike many EAs on the market that rely on grid trading, martingale, DCA, or operate without stop-losses, my EA avoids such risky approaches. While these methods may promise short-term, stable profits, they come with significant tail risks—where just one major market event can lead to catastrophic losses.

Trading Without Tail Risk

Trading with high tail risk is no different from playing Russian roulette. Success may seem steady for a while, but sooner or later, one unexpected event will wipe out significant capital. My EA, however, is specifically built to capture trends while being resilient to extreme market conditions, including black swan events.

Why Most Traders Fail?

Many unsuccessful traders fall into the trap of trying to predict market tops and bottoms while using risky money management strategies. This not only puts their capital at risk but also makes them the source of profits for disciplined traders. My EA eliminates these pitfalls by relying on strategy, discipline, and proper risk management to achieve consistent results.

Ease of Use:

My EA is simple and user-friendly. It is easy to set up with customizable risk settings:

Choose between percentage risk, fixed dollar amount, or fixed lot size. Designed to run on the H1 timeframe for optimal performance.

Additionally, the EA supports trading multiple pairs from a single chart. To enable this feature, ensure the symbols in the input settings match your broker's format and add them to the market watch list.

Then, simply attach the EA to the BTCUSD or EURUSD H1 chart. The EA also supports backtesting multiple pairs simultaneously for greater efficiency.

Recommended Settings and Pairs:

Assets to Trade: USDJPY, GBPJPY, BTCUSD, GOLD, OIL, USTEC, NIKKEI 225.

Risk Level: 0.5% - 1% of your account capital per trade. This keeps the maximum drawdown below 20%.

For instance, with a $10,000 account, risk approximately $50 - $100 per trade to ensure capital protection.

If you use multiple EAs simultaneously, reduce the risk to 0.2-0.3%.

To ensure value for early users and limit overexposure, I will gradually increase the price of this EA as more people purchase it.

1. Initial Setup

• Add the EA to the chart:
  • Open your trading platform (MT5).
  • Drag the EA from the Expert Advisors folder onto the chart of the desired trading pair.
• Configure the parameters:
  • Choose the risk management function:
    • MODE_RISKMONEY: Enter a fixed amount in the Fixed Money field.
    • MODE_PERCENTACCOUNT: Enter the risk percentage in the % Risk On Current Balance field.
    • MODE_FIXLOT: Enter a fixed lot size in the Fixed Lots field.
  • Magic Number: Input a unique Magic Number to distinguish this EA’s trades from others.
  • Trade On Multi Symbol?:
    • False: The EA will only trade on the current chart.
    • True: The EA will trade on all symbols listed in the Map Of Symbol field. Ensure that the symbols are entered correctly (case-sensitive), separated by commas ( , ), and added to Market Watch.
  • GMT Hour: Enter the broker server’s GMT time when backtesting. For live trading, the EA will automatically adjust the time.

2. Activating the EA

• Ensure the AutoTrading button on your platform is enabled.
• Check for the smiling face 😊 on the chart to confirm the EA is running.

3. Notes

• Map Of Symbol: If using multi-symbol mode (Trade On Multi Symbol? = true):
  • Ensure symbol names match the broker’s naming convention exactly, separated by commas ( , ).
  • Add all symbols to Market Watch to avoid errors.
  • If you do not use the Trade On Multi Symbol feature (Trade On Multi Symbol? = false), the 'Map Of Symbol' field will not be used.
    
• Time Conversion: The EA will handle time conversion automatically during live trading. For backtesting, manually input the broker’s GMT time.  In live trading, you don’t need to adjust the GMT Hour because the EA will automatically convert the time.
• Although my EA does not manage trades based on magic numbers, you still need to input a Magic Number to differentiate it from other EAs (if you are using any). This prevents them from mistakenly reading my EA's orders.
  

4. Monitoring and Managing Trades

• Check trades in the Trade tab.
• Verify the Magic Number in the Account History tab to ensure the EA's trades are not confused with others.

5. Troubleshooting

• If issues arise, verify:
  • The accuracy of symbol names in the Map Of Symbol field.
  • No Magic Number conflicts with other EAs.
  • All required symbols are added to Market Watch.
