I need a martingale EA that is triggered by inside bars. It opens buy and sell stop orders above and below a range given by the inside bar with stoploss at the other end of the range. It gets activated by breakout from that range. If the trade runs into stoploss the trade is reversed with higher lot size until it runs into takeprofit. ![]()
Since I want to use the EA for backtesting and developing statistics, it needs to write data about each trade sequence into a log file (csv file).
The picture shows an example of a trade setup. An inside bar shows and a buy stop and a sell stop are opened above and below the range of the bar. The buy stop order gets activated with for example 0.5 lots. At the same time the sell stop lot size gets adjusted to 1 lot. If the buy order runs into profit, very good. If it runs into stoploss at the other side of the range, the sell stop with lot size = 1 lot gets opened. A new buy stop on the other side of the range ( above the inside bar) gets opened, now with lot size = 2 lots. This goes on until one trade hits takeprofit.
A special formula is used to calculate the first lot size, after that each new trade is the prior trade lot size multiplicated with a fixed number, for example 2x. (first trade: 0.5 lots, second trade: 1 lot, third trade: 2 lots etc.)
The takeprofit for each trade should be adjustable as a multiple of the risk taken. (for example: first trade: Risk/Reward 1.1, second trade: Risk/Reward 1.2, third trade: Risk/Reward 1.3 etc.)
This is the basic outline of the requirements. More details once an agreement with the programmer is entered.
