Consultation & advice on EA settings for strategy tester

Hi there,

I have just started to use Meta Trader 5 and have written a simple EA for moving average crossover and running it on strategy tester for symbol "AAPL.US.CFD". But, even if the moving averages cross and signal generation criteria are satisfied, there are no signal generated. 

I have already connected the MT5 application to the broker. I believe the issue could be in the way I am running the strategy tester or the EA code has bug. 

Request is to evaluate the EA and see why it is not generating any signals in strategy tester mode and also help me setup the platform so that I can start back testing EAs and also use the EA for live trading
