Hello,
I have a working EA which needs to have entry trade signals modified. Right now the EA enters trades based on MACD cross with Moving Average as a confirmation on the current timeframe, + Moving Average confirmation on a higher timeframe
I would like the new version to open trades based on a HIDDEN RSI Divergence, plus a stochastic indicator cross. I want to retain Moving Average as trade confirmation, and MA as confirmation on the higher timeframe.
As a reminder hidden divergences are:
Hidden Bullish Divergence
In an uptrend, the price makes a higher low (HL), look and see if the oscillator does the same. If it doesn’t and makes a lower low (LL), then you have a hidden BULLISH divergence.
Hidden Bearish Divergence
In a downtrend, if the price makes a lower high (LH), look and see if the oscillator does the same. If it doesn’t and makes a higher high (HH), then you have a hidden BEARISH divergence.
1. So, a BUY would be:
Bullish Hidden Divergence.
Stochastic crossing up as the trade entry.
Price above the MA.
2. A SELL would be:
Bearish Hidden Divergence.
Stochastic crossing down as the trade entry.
Price below the MA.
3. I would like to be able to turn the stochastic cross on/off. If 'on' then the 'next' stochastic cross after the hidden divergence signal is the trade entry. If 'off' then the trade is opened by the hidden divergence signal.
4. All other functions of the EA would remain the same.
