Have got a simple idea that I want to turn into an expert advisor (EA) based on meta trader.
It is based on support and resistance.
Methodology:
The EA works in a way that it monitors (tick level) and buy the currency when the price breaks out of the previous high price of a specified timeframe and sells when the price goes lower than previous low price of that specified timeframe.
There are 4 variables I would like to control. These can be put in the config file of the EA.
1. The currency pairs
2. The specified timeframe to consider ie how many hours/minutes to go back while checking for previous high and low price
3. Acceptable adjustments. Ie price above the high price/below low price to combat volatility measured in percentage of the price to 3 decimal places.
4. Trailing stop loss (this helps to end a profitable trade)
The expert advisor will monitor multiple currencies (up to 100) at the same time. This means that financial resources may be locked by one EA while they are needed by the others. In this case other EAs may have to withdraw its request if when it needs the money, the money is locked.
The expert advisor may close its trade before the market closes on Friday. On the other hand, it may discard its recorded high and lows at the beginning of the week’s trading.
Note:
It is essential to optimize the script since it will be backtested
