I have an ea which is placed on 10 different charts in mt4. The problem is it sometimes opens many trades. I just want it to place a maximum of xx positions. So for example, if I specify on the input that I want a maximum of 3 trades if the chart 1 trade is buy EURUSD , chart 2 is buy USDJPY and chart 3 is Buy USD/CAD and on chart4 there is a signal to buy usd/chf, then the EA does not buy usd/chf because there are 3 trades already opened.
The EA sometimes opens 2 or more orders of the same symbol, if this happens, then count them as 1 order e.g if chart 1 has 2 EUR/USD orders these should be counted as 1 order not 2 because they are of the same symbol.
So on my EA include an input: like:
Max number of market or pending orders= xx
Then a function that counts these orders is placed somewhere on the programme and then included on the code that opens sell or pending orders in order to prevent or enable it not to open pending or market orders.
