I'm one of the developers of a service of automated trading signals. This service uses Sierrachart as its source for intraday / historical quotes, intermediate calculations, pre-signals, signals, and basic money management elements (initial stop, breakeven, one or two targets).
We are looking for a programmer for a paid development job. The developper(s) needs to have :
- a good understanding of algorithmic trading.
- a good experience in developing / compiling / debuging custom study DLLs for the Sierrachart platform.
- a good experience of C++ and Microsoft Visual C++, including incorporating external C++ libraries like `libcurl` in a Sierrachart study / dll
- Can code both purely algorithmic studies (sets of conditions using classical indicators, in a chronological order) and studies based on visual indicators like trendlines (which can be algorithmically defined but with a more involved process)
There are a 4 different strategies, each with two or three variants, to code into Sierrachart. Each of these have in common :
- the use of technical analysis indicators (including trendlines) to generate pre-conditions, then signals
- the notion of a pre-signal, when the price of an instrument triggers a predefined set of preconditions
- sending a signal, either on the next tick, or on bar close
- sending the signal, and metadata (for graphing needs in our own private platform) by HTTP POST requests, to a web server, in JSON format, directly from the study itself.
- be lightweight enough to enable Sierra to load more than a hundred charts per instance.
We have developed a boilerplate indicator which can manage to send signals to our servers on more than 100 charts, on a "1 second" timeframe, which can be used as a starting point.
If you have the above experience, feel free to contact me for further details.
[EDIT 2015-12-07] Candidates under selection, redaction of the projects final spec in progress. Will post more when done in a few days.
