id not allowed

Hello, Please be patient with me I am a complete Newbie here. So I'm attempting to install a custom indicator. After I load the files and attempted to launch the indicator it's giving me "ID NOT Allowed" and "indicator not defined". Any help would be grateful!!

There are many kinds of custom indicators:

• there are free custom indicators from CodeBase;
• and free indicators which the coders/traders uploaded to this forum by source codes;
• and there are custom indicators from the Market (free or commercial ones).

So, the different types of custom indicators are leading to the different method of their installation. Besides, custom indicators can not be inst alled on mobile Metatrader (desktop Metatrader only should be used to install any custom indicator).

We on the forum have no idea about which type of custom indicator you are trying to install, for Metatrader 4 or Metatrader 5 and so on (you know it only). And because of that - I am suggesting to you to read the Metatrader's instruction where everything was written about any types of custom indicators:

And just to remind about how to start -

Find Metatrader broker (there are a lot of Metatrader brokers, use google to find), and open the account according to their condition on their websites.
Try with demo first.

Thank you for your feedback. This is all on desktop. and Im currently using MT4 I was wondering it's saying "ID not allowed" is because its a demo account.

No, its not that.

If this is an indicator you've bought from the MQL5.com Market or anywhere else, contact the author/seller for help and advice.
