Hello all!
This question arises: are there any universal trading systems that can show a good positive trend over a long history?
They do not. Imho.
Hello everyone!
The question arises: are there any universal trading systems that can show a good positive trend over a long period of time?
It all depends on the size of the deposit and the desired profit.
Hello all!
A question has arisen: are there any universal trading systems that can show a good positive trend on a long history?
All, the main thing is that the deposit should withstand the maximum drawdown, and someday it will come out in the black ;)
A versatile system should analyse the trend - your Friend. Up - close Sells and buy, Down - close all Buy and sell. The channel is less than 100 pips - we wait. If we want to gain more money - from the support line Buy from resistance level Sell. There is also pipsing (gathering of pips) or scalping - cutting off hairs (small price fluctuations). Work if manual is very nerve-racking and risky, but the Internet says about 50% daily profit. Now how to buy to sell. You can OrderSend(... OP_BUY or OP_SELL). But there is slippage, requotes, ..... It would be much easier to place expiry orders and move them around. And all this should be together. This is a universal strategy. And what everybody calls strategies are various tactics of implementing a single strategy. Whoever understands this - will be on the horse, will be in the tank, will be with lemons and lydia, will be where everyone wants to be, will be...
Hello all!
This question arises: are there any universal trading systems that can show a good positive trend on a long history?
Well, it is clear that:
1) A good, strong, almost undeflected trend kills any rebounding, counter-trend system.
2) A flat in any of its manifestations, nullifies a trending system.
3) Scalping may lead to loss of the deposit, even in the absence of news. A good short-term excursion of the price and losses (if not losses) are guaranteed.
What are the options that would take into account the disadvantages of each of the above systems, and is it possible in principle?
I believe there are. These strategies are trend based (as you wrote, "trend system"). To avoid, as you wrote, "a flat without nullifying a trend system", you should be able to recognize a flat and not open orders during a flat. You should be able to wait out a flat.
Flat strategies based on averaging are flawed and will not lead to anything good. An example is the legendary Calm that miraculously stayed in the market on the basis of averaging. But EURUSD suddenly went up for a year (almost without a break) and there was no possibility to average. As a result, the legendary Calm got a Stop Out. Of course, his Subscribers were upset, and the rest of the viewers were disappointed in their idol.
So one should be guided by trending strategies and, incidentally, be able to 'flip out' if you choose the wrong direction.

Of course... We are all sinners before the geniuses of trade, and I went out for a smoke, and then look at Forex. Well, why not try it ;)
There, I've got one. Join us soon. When you have spent a couple thousand dollars - a normal fee for the science, then suddenly you will understand one more principle - the main thing is to keep yours. And if you were more careful, you'd have two thousand more at this point.
It's easier to put expiry pauses and move them around.
So, if you put pauses, there will be no slippage?
is it better to set an expiry instead of a takeprofit?
Takeprofit is essentially the same as a pause.

my understanding is that expiry can only be set on pending orders.
That is, we set the expiry date and if a pending order has not been activated by then, it is deleted?
