Do books help you in trading? - page 11

Are there any in real life with over-hyping or is this just philosophical musings?

The problem of "overshooting" does not arise out of thin air... It is strictly tied to the trading strategy of the trader himself...

Taking into account that there are a lot of newbies among traders, you should not expect good strategies from them...

... And I didn't know that it wasn't based on bad strategies... And this is a much more serious problem than the petty and farfetched issue of overdoing it...

The problem of "overshooting" does not arise out of thin air... It is strictly tied to the trading strategy of the trader himself...

Given the fact that there are a lot of newbies among traders, we should not expect them to have good strategies...

So the problem exists as a fact, but by and large it's all about bad strategies... And this is a much more serious problem than the small issue of waiting too long...

Ok, create a thread and let's discuss which strategies are good and which are bad

Yes, you are right! Such a branch would be good... because books give general advice on strategies, and usually without examples or explanations...

The Blogs section of this site fills this gap a bit...

I haven't read any of these. I read Turgenev's Moo-Moo, which is about forex.

Nah, it's Alexander Sergeyevich's The Queen of Spades. A classic of the genre - three, seven, ace and a margin call.

If it's all about forex, it's the novel The Gambler by Dostoyevsky.
