Numerical series density - page 10

Vyacheslav Kornev:
I'll write later in the day because I'm going away.

Of course, as you like.

I'll tell you what to do. If you want to start with higher density, it is not difficult

1, find from the beginning among ALL received deltas of ALL numbers the smallest one (it is not 0), and generally arrange the deltas in ascending order.

2. the smallest delta = 2. Now look at delta 1 to 2 (one is missing, because 2 itself is small)

Delta 2 and below occur once each in numbers 13 and 15; 40 and 42

This is a CLASS 1 delta - the smallest delta.

Next in order is a delta of size 3. so we are looking for which groups have a delta of 1 to 3. you see, we're just looking for let's say number 13, delta 3 is number 10 and delta 2 is number 15. and we write down these numbers

13,10,15; 40,42; 78,81

THIS is the density of class 2 - where the delta is taken by an order of magnitude. it includes the density of class 1, and expands.

you know how to look for densities

Trace delta size 4. would be class 3 density

Take the number 10 as your first number and write down all the numbers with a delta (of 10) less than 3 or 4 or 10 as you like, whatever you want to consider as density

which number has the most deltas under 8

that cluster is the densest

I'm writing in a hurry, it might seem like I'm being rude.

Perhaps I have misunderstood you, but it turns out the following table after the classification by delta:

Class>12345Total:
10 0 0 1 0 1 2
13 0 1 1 0 0 2
15 0 1 0 0 1 2
21 0 0 0 0 0 0
31 0 0 0 0 0 0
40 0 1 0 0 0 1
42 0 1 0 1 0 2
46 0 0 0 1 1 2
51 0 0 0 0 2 2
56 0 0 0 0 1 1
65 0 0 0 0 0 0
71 0 0 0 0 0 0
78 0 0 1 0 0 1
81 0 0 1 0 0 1
190 0 0 0 0 0 0
223 0 0 0 0 0 0
232 0 0 0 0 0 0
250 0 0 0 0 0 0
260 0 0 0 0 0 0
545 0 0 0 0 0 0
Total: 0 4 4 2 6

What to do with it next?

By the way, almost all but 21 numbers have already been found at this stage - if you compare with my algorithm, but there is a significant drawback here:

1. How to group the numbers (by gaps - zeros between a group of digits?);

2. How to determine the right "classification"?

What does 1 2 3 4 5 mean?

delete this useless table

Vyacheslav Kornev:
What does 1 2 3 4 5 mean?

These are the deltas - in order, according to your idea you should only select those deltas that are there - I did it in order from 1 to 5.

I don't know what you did, it has nothing to do with the algorithm at all, I'll try to rephrase

Vyacheslav Kornev:

delete this useless spreadsheet.

I'd rather you put yours out there so I don't have to guess for you.
