change to light grey tones the background at least, and the contrasting blue of the lines can be changed, it's very bad for the eyes.

Here is the simplest detector receiver, a direct successor of Popov's device, and it shows this fact - there is no energy source in it, and it draws energy exclusively from ether, and whether there is a regular signal or noise - energy is extracted all the same - as long as there is a signal (fluctuation) - in market terms - volatility - to be at least of some kind.

Brownian motion - of course, a purely random process and all that is described by Einstein - all refers to a normal (purely) random process - all the characteristics - search for it, you will find. If you are not lazy - find Peters E. book (or any other book about Hurst index, persistence, etc.). - Rephrase in memory stupid). By the way, the book Peters recently published in Russian and is not very expensive.
As to your, qxr1011, remark that all prices are not accidental, strongly, IMHO ... I take off my hat.
P.S. The purely random process is described most vividly in "the problem about the drunken sailor": a sailor leaves the tavern and makes N steps in a completely random direction. The question is: at what distance is he most likely to take these N steps? It is proved that the distance is proportional to the square root of N. Remarkably, this dependence - proportionality to the square root - does not depend on the dimensionality of the problem (i.e. along a straight line the sailor goes (one-dimensional problem), along the plane or in space (two or three-dimensional problems) - all the same is proportional to the root of the number of steps (or to the time to the reference!)
So: we take this dependence (proportionality of distance from the starting point) as the measure of a purely random process. If our "process" (price) moves on average faster (farther) from the starting point - the process is persistent, if less - it is antipersistent. In order to effectively count the persistence, you need the Hearst index.
If you take a chart of almost any financial asset, it will most likely be persistent... But if you "cut out" (not randomly!) consolidation zones, then the antipersistence is possible on this sample...
The main thing, IMHO, is the OBJECTIVENESS of this approach - and not the usual "you see, there is a "trend" and there is a "flat"...

I gave you the link to the formula https://forum.mql4.com/ru/46396/page2 and there are questions about it.
Well with a detector receiver it's easy, I'm an electronic engineer myself, it's not difficult to get energy from a wave. I've been thinking about it too. Just the wave goes through the diode, it goes to the receiver only + (positive semi-period of the wave) and the minus goes out, so the energy is stored in the capacitor (of course it was a conventional explanation).
To draw an analogy with the market a capacitor is our deposit, energy is money. The problem is that there is no zero, so you don't know what to store and what to cut off. And instead of the diode, an open buy position with an infinitely large lot, and profit taking takes place every time the price is above 0. Since the price is unclear where it is relative to 0, so it is unclear when to fix it).
About the Hurst and Peters indices. I read it, it is interesting, but it has not been put into practice yet. I liked the idea of connecting the fifth Sailor with Persistence Index and Volatility.
If we simply multiply by the number of bars, we get a linear dependence of price movement on time. But this is not true. The longer time period we consider, the slower (inert) the price movement will be. For example, the daily volatility of a currency is 100 pips, but it does not mean that it passes 10 000 pips in 100 days. Therefore, as I said before, we should multiply by the root of the number of bars.
Why, they do trade, for example on the CME.Strange, didn't see any currency options there, only futures, I'll look carefully again
Oh found it, that's interesting, I'll look into that as well, thanks for the tip

Shepherd and Shiryaev did their H-volatility thing too, trend/flat. Even if you do not know which way the trend is going, I think you can get zero on the flat, at least approximately. If you come at it from this side, someone needs trends on the contrary.
Shepherd and Shiryaev also did their H-volatility, trend/fly. If you do not know which way the trend is going, you may get zero on the flat, at least approximately. If you come at it from this side, someone needs trends on the contrary.
Your monstrous knowledge in all fields has already astonished (in the medical sense) half the forum...
Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Letter to a learned neighbour Village Pancakes-Eaten Dear Neighbour. Maxim... (I forgot my patronymic, excuse me generously!) Please excuse me and forgive me an old man and a ridiculous human soul for daring to disturb you with my pathetic writing. A year has passed since you settled in our part of the world next door to me as a little man, and I still do not know you and you do not know me as a poor dragonfly. Let me, dear neighbour, at least by means of these senile hieroglyphics introduce myself to you, shake your learned hand and congratulate you on your arrival from St. Petersburg to our unworthy continent, populated by peasants and peasant people, i.e. the plebeian element. I have long been looking for an opportunity to get acquainted with you, I was longing to, because science is in some way our mother, the same as civilization, and because I heartily respect those people, whose famous name and rank crowned with halo of popular fame, laurels, cymbals, awards, ribbons and certificates thunder like thunder and lightning in all parts of this visible and invisible world, i.e. under Moon. I ardently love astronomers, poets, metaphysicians, lecturers, chemists and other science priests, to which you count yourself by your clever facts and branches of sciences, i.e. products and fruits. They say, that you have printed many books during your clever sitting with pipes, thermometers and heaps of foreign books with tempting drawings. Recently my neighbour Gerasimov visited my wretched possessions, my ruins and ruins and with his usual fanaticism scolded and condemned your thoughts and ideas concerning human origin and other phenomena of the visible world and rebelled and heated against your mental sphere and thought horizon covered with luminaries and aeroglytes. I do not agree with Gerasimov concerning your mental ideas, because I live and feed only on science, which Providence gave to human kind for excavation of precious metals, metaloids and diamonds from bowels of visible and invisible world, but still forgive me, father, an insect barely visible, if I dare to refute some of your ideas concerning nature in old man's manner. Gerasimov has informed me, that you have written a composition in which you will state not very essential ideas on people and their first-born condition and existence before the Flood. You've had the temerity to say that man descended from the monkey tribes of orangutas and the like. Forgive me old man, but I do not agree with you concerning this important point and I can give you a comma. If a man, the ruler of the world, the most intelligent of breathing beings, were descended from a stupid and ignorant ape, he would have a tail and a wild voice. If we were descended from monkeys, we would now be taken around towns by Gypsies for show and we would pay money to show each other off, dancing at the behest of a Gypsy or sitting behind bars in a menagerie. Are we not covered with wool all around us? Would we not wear the robes that monkeys are deprived of? Wouldn't we love and despise a woman if she smelt even slightly of the monkey we see every Tuesday at the Nobleman's? If our forefathers were descended from monkeys, they would not have been buried in a Christian cemetery; my great-great-grandfather Ambrose, for instance, who lived in the Kingdom of Poland, was not buried as a monkey, but close to Catholic Abate Joachim Shostak, whose notes on temperate climate and immoderate drinking are still kept by my brother Ivan (Maior). Abat means Catholic priest. Forgive me unknowingly for meddling in your scholarly affairs and interpreting in my own senile way and forcing upon you my wild and somewhat garish ideas which scientists and civilized people prefer to have in their stomachs than in their heads. I cannot keep silent and I cannot bear it when scientists have wrong ideas in their minds and I cannot help contradicting you. Gerasimov informs me that you think wrongly about the moon, i.e. about the month, which replaces the sun for us in hours of darkness and gloom, when people sleep, while you conduct electricity from place to place and fantasize. Don't make fun of an old man for writing so stupidly. You write that there are people and tribes living and dwelling on the moon i.e. on the month. It cannot be so because if people lived on the Moon they would block for us its magic and magical light with their houses and fat pastures. People cannot live without rain, and rain goes down to the earth, not up to the moon. People living on the moon would fall down to the ground, which does not happen. The filth and slop would fall on our continent from the inhabited moon. Can people live on the moon if it only exists at night and disappears during the day? And the governments cannot allow people to live on the moon, because the moon, due to its distant location and inaccessibility, can be sheltered very easily. You got it a little wrong. You have composed and printed in your clever essay, as Gerasimov told me, that there are black spots on the greatest luminary, the sun. That cannot be, because it can never be. How could you see spots on the sun if you cannot look at the sun with mere human eyes, and what for are spots on it if you can do without them? What wet body are these very spots made of if they do not burn? Maybe you think fish live in the sun too? Forgive me poisonous dope for being so silly! I am terribly devoted to science! This nineteenth century sail is of no value to me, science has darkened it before my eyes with its farther wings. Every discovery gnaws at me like a nail in my back. Though I am an ignoramus and a landowner of old, yet a rascal of old, I am engaged in science and discoveries that I make with my own hands and fill my ridiculous head, my wild skull, with thoughts and a set of the greatest knowledge. Mother Nature is a book to be read and seen. I have made many discoveries with my own mind, such discoveries as no reformer has ever invented. I will say without boasting that I am not of the least of these as far as education is concerned, obtained by corns rather than by the wealth of parents, i.e. father and mother or guardians, who often ruin their children through wealth, luxury and six storey houses with slaves and electric vertebrae. This is what my penny-pinching mind has discovered. I have discovered that our great fiery radiant halo of a sun once a year early in the morning entertainingly and picturesquely plays with multi-coloured colours and makes a playful impression with its marvellous flicker. Another discovery. Why is the day short and the night long in winter, and vice versa in summer? The day in winter is short because, like all other visible and invisible things, it shrinks because of the cold, and the sun goes down early, but the night expands as it gets warmer by the lights and lanterns. Then I found out, that dogs in spring eat grass like sheep and that coffee is harmful for healthy people, because it makes them dizzy and their eyes blurred, and so on. I have made many discoveries and apart from that I have no certificates and certificates. Come and see me, dear neighbour, by all means. I have lately read in a French scholar that a lion's muzzle is not at all like a human face, as scientists think. We'll have a talk about that. Come, do me a favour. Come tomorrow, for instance. We eat Lenten food now, but for you we will make a fast. My daughter Natasha asked you to bring some smart books. She's stupid, only she's smart. I'll tell you, young people are making a name for themselves. God bless them! In a week my brother Ivan will be here. He's a good man, but between you and me he doesn't like Bourbon and science. This letter must be delivered to you by my key-keeper Trofim at 8 p.m. sharp. If he brings it later, beat him on the cheek, like a professor, there's nothing to be trifled with. If he brings it later, it means anathema went to the pub. We didn't invent the custom of going to our neighbours, and it won't end with us, so you must come with your cars and books. I would come myself, but I am too embarrassed and do not have the courage. Forgive me for this inconvenience. I'm a retired Lieutenant of the Don Army, your neighbour Vasily Semi-Bulatov, who respects you.

I apologize to the topicstarter for the off-topic.
Does this have anything to do with predictive ATR ? with the ATR value calculated at the time of entering the position it won't work ?
I accept that there may be different modifications, but in my variant there is no ATR, much less Predictive ATR.
Is there anything to see here?
It's good to see candles and lines... And if they don't obscure each other, it's a real treat...
I can see the lines=), so far I have noticed that the angle of the lines is often the same
The angle won't do you any good...
