Yes, the cross-country capability is phenomenal, machinery was created for that purpose, but in the mud, and it did not help.

People drove on autos up to their necks loaded after downgrades, belly flared sparks, bumpers were gone with torn towbars but they were happy. 50 minutes, the same 100 km and you're not even interested.
