I think like this: (you can criticise), since the robot needs a reliable depot to work reliably, offer willing participants to create a joint depot, say 100k each, accumulate 100k, run the robot, earn 200k, pay back the debt, bring the depot up to 3000k, 2900k to spend.
Where did you get such utopian ideas?

With a deposit of 5 quid, I agree. But what if I deposit 1000 quid? It would look very risky!
