I'm getting into interesting methods now - I've bought an old 2003 pentium-4, getting ready to save money with it. Why? It's cheap!
 
Been using windows vds from /**/ for over a year too. All works (now on VDS2, ~15 terminals), happy with it. The main thing is to have a good ping to broker.
 

I can recommend a VDS server for MetaTrader

It is very stable, I don't remember any crashes or outages. The price is quite affordable.
