As I suspected, it worked on the home computer, but not on the intranet.
I've written to VPS tech support to see if they can sort it out.

"It's not the version of the operating system, it's the bit-type. MT4 is a 32bit software, while you have ordered a 64bit system for your server. This is the reason for the compatibility problems. "
Also, tech support says "You have Windows Server 2008 Web Edition R2 64bit installed on your virtual server. "

I've already got 32 bit back installed, it still doesn't work!!!
Every hour it says "wyz result" and that's it, nothing opens.
Advice on a sane and inexpensive wpc.....
