AMD or Intel as well as the memory brand - page 76

Here's another test of the second script from DC2008 (Core i7 965 EE):

Alexei! This is not a monitor test! ))) We're talking about rocks...

Er... I agree, even on my 22", the pictures are too big. Well... the author posted thumbnail pictures in his personal account, which are only properly visible when enlarged. I'm just posting the cropped ones.

Come on...

Six more comments and they'll crawl away on their own.

It's hard to make out what time it is in the screenshots ?

Changed the pictures. Hopefully, it's all visible now and the monitor isn't being abused.

Here's another topic...

I've raised it before, the minimum possible, and in my mind "cold" set of PCs to create a "VPS at home".

Not even cold, but rather economical...

Agree, to eat 120 watts and 65 is equal to almost two times more work from the ops.

(I mean the real, total power consumption).

So, on the wave of my "seleronism" not without surprise, I read this:

Довёл я безмоторность до предела, купив эту плату:

http://europe.asrock.com/mb/overview.ru.asp?Model=A780GXH/128M

...

Следующий этап, видимо, холодный 45Вт Феном х3 6ГБ кэша. Если, конечно, такие вообще будут. Небось, не раньше лета 2010.

and not because of AMD, but because sleron also tdp=45, but without a fan there is no way, though it has smothered it slightly... a little bit...

Here's another topic...

More precisely brought it up already, the minimum possible, and in my mind "cold" set of MS to create a "wpc at home".

I don't know what VPS is for, but Asus EEE PC 901 (with SSD disk) is almost silent and doesn't heat up. In idle mode (WinXP) with display switched off it consumes about 7 W (according to my measurements). Under load about 10-12 W. (True even a modem will "eat" electricity, but this is if access to the net is not through a network card). From APC RS-800 UPS works about 2 hours, and if you put 2 batteries at 12 V 9 ampere-hours each (consistently) + converter to 12 V, then all 15-20 hours. And there's also a native battery for 4-5 hours...

Anyway, now there is a good choice of motherboards in mini-ITX format and with more powerful processors (2-core Atom, etc.). For example http://www.ixbt.com/mainboard/intel/intel-d945gclf2.shtml

Особенности платы

The Intel D945GCLF2 is based on the very old and relatively hot 945GC chipset. This fact makes the board cheap, but imposes rather strong restrictions on its functionality. In addition, the high TDP of the north bridge - 22,2 W - forces the manufacturer to resort to active cooling. The fan is on the chipset, not on the processor, as one might initially think. The presence of a noise source can be recognized as a significant disadvantage when it comes to a compact PC of low power.

not impressive...
