They have probably forgotten what we are looking for :( apart from the sessions themselves, there are also daylight saving time and winter time.
This is the biggest problem with it....
Look at the indicator I posted, it has ALL of them.
Here's more to find. Don't take it as an advertisement - but it's really nice to have it all in one place: http://www.stocktime.ru/info.htm

ForexTools, those materials look valuable... if you don't have a problem with translation, could you please state here what it's about... :) Your question is really very important, and even more so the answer to it...

About the question about different time of trading terminals: I don't understand the seriousness of the question here. What do you mean? If I sit in Moscow for example I add 2 hours in summer to the GMT-quotes and +1 in winter. If I'm in London, I won't add anything - it's already clear. And if I'm in the US, it's different - this difference is clear to me. So I guess all price quotes are GMT+1, isn't it? And the difference from your location isn't hard to find. Did I get the problem right?

Local time difference isn't the problem...
But server time differences, yes, and a big one. And it starts with plotting 4H and above.
(although for "higher" it's not that significant... usually just shifted prices of open and kloz)
-
Plus the complexity of coding to handle any time oriented events.
If linked to server time, the error will depend on the DC.
If referring to local time, then it depends on the system clock of the computer...
which is usually set to local time...

it's not true :)))
Well there is no such thing and that's it...... all is verified by statistics only
During the week I will try to digest and translate everything of interest to our needs. I will make a normal excerpt and an excel spreadsheet which will both calculate times and sessions. How this will then be attached to the trade - we'll see. Unfortunately, I can not promise any faster, because I have to do it only in the evenings and on weekends (the rest of the time - my main job, which is not related to forex).
I don't agree with Kombat.
Разница локальных времён таки как раз не проблема..
It's not a problem of trade, it's a problem of human psychology and habits. Well during the summer I got used to the fact that America starts at one time, then you have to get used to it when they fall behind with the reverse translation, then - with the fact that they "caught up" with us...
At the time of the current trade the problem is solved simply: a sheet of A4 paper with the session times in front of your nose and that's it ;)
The problem will appear in the creation of indicators and the very statistics, "by which all is checked". I have a small "glitch" in the indicator, which uses colours of trading sessions, and I am trying to fix it now. The trading sessions are coloured according to times started . And if I come across those weeks on history, they will not be colored correctly: at present I have 2 o'clock americana start time and it was 3 o'clock then or vice versa. Rake in general is not very big - but ... Unpleasant :( The first hour at the opening of the session is an important thing and if it jumps from the start of one session to the end of the previous one, the picture will be inadequate, to put it mildly.
Within a week I will try to digest and translate everything of interest for our needs. I will make a normal squeeze and an excel spreadsheet that will both calculate times and sessions. How this will then be attached to the trade - we'll see. Unfortunately, I can not promise any faster. Because I have to do it only in the evenings and on weekends (the rest of the time - my main job, which is not related to forex).
ForexTools, looking forward to it, thank you!
