Who can explain?

Downloaded eMule, loaded the link, process started. Speed - a bit more than 500 bytes(!) per second. Estimated time 21 days + some hours.

Stopped the process, increased the download speed. I restarted it - it was not going at all. Although when I pressed the "Download" button it said "You're already downloading".

This low speed is normal ? In general, at what speeds does this system work ?

What do I have to tell it to really load ?

It's all very detailed on the native site and in a general search. I average megabytes per second. But I give out gigabytes ... so it's all in your hands :)
 
Yurixx, you don't have to say anything to the donkey. Leave the default settings, you just have to wait. Everything will download for sure. And not necessarily for 21 days. My Matlab R2007b (the latest, just upgraded my Matlab yesterday) took just over a day to download. That's 3.2 Gb. I downloaded Xilinx ICE Foundation (1.7 Gb) and other heavy applications in exactly the same way. I haven't bought software on disks for two years. Oslo has a peculiarity. It's not a website and it's not an ftp. It's a peer-to-peer network, and your download speed depends on how many people in the world are online at the moment and have the bytes you need. I'm sorry, I still don't understand what you're downloading here. Or am I wrong? Maybe it would be easier for me to get it from a donkey and then post it somewhere else?

Well, if it's so off topic: Donkey Mules and other animals are long, dirty and without the slightest guarantee that you'll get what you want and not a movie with German chicks. I've hardly used it for a couple of years now. Go to the most famous Russian-language torrent portal. ... Statistika, Matlab, etc.
