Wishes for MQL5 - page 115

Are you serious about this?

avtomat >> :

Are you saying the opposite? That most people need THIS?

>> : Minutes?

Uh-huh, and preferably a complete ticking history altogether.

Are you serious about this?

Do you seriously need those megabytes? Find two hundred greenbacks, buy a 1.5TB broom and don't sweat it.

What is a minutiae? It is a story that has already been processed according to a certain algorithm.

And why are you so confident that the algorithm used to form the minutes is universal and optimal?

Some people need candlesticks, some people need bars, some people need a line by claws, some people need a chart of X's and Y's or Renko's... And how many other options are there for processing tick history?

There is a popular indicator - Semen Semenych's cluster indicator. It works with the "binary" history.

And in Semen Semenych's original, the system collects the tick history from several sources, using several servers.

And for us, Semen Semenych transferred his indicators to the data available to us. But he warned us that this is a highly distorted version of the original.

............

This is necessary. In fact, a lot of people need a history of ticks. And that's not 10 meg per year. Count the number of ticks per year and its volume. A year's volume will be measured in gigabytes.

Exactly. As a long time trader, I don't understand the rejection of ticks in the new MT. For the kitchens - understandable, their tick history is a complete gimmick. Although it could also be useful for testing. But if there will be an exit to exchange floors, then I do not understand the logic of the developers.

Minutes?

Uh-huh, and preferably a full teak story altogether.

And what to do with it, this complete ticking history? >> WHY?

But let some people need it, some don't.

So it should be possible to download it from the server on request! For those who need it. That's it!

Why make everyone download it?

Here's the answer to all your questions :)))

Who needs it and why... :))))))))

Apparently, few people take into account the fact that for 10 years of history, 10 mb of traffic is downloaded and all other timeframes are built based on this data without accessing the server. Realistically, the traffic in mt5 is even less than in mt4, if we are talking about full-fledged work with charts with switching of chart timeframes.

Remember the rule "10 YEARS OF CHARTS WITH ANY TIMFRAYMES = 10MB ONE-TIME TRAFFIC", please.

Renat, I have repeatedly requested to increase the number of indicator buffers in MT4.

Is it possible to increase it from the current 8 to 64-128? I think it would be a very good step!

On the client terminal side, incoming (over the network) data is unzipped by a factor of 10-13 times and the original operational data is stored on disk in unzipped form for speed and ease of access. The disk also stores all the timeframes generated from the minutes.

In other words, you can't count the size of the working storage as the volume of network traffic. We have implemented a very efficient mechanism of data compression and transfer. Traffic of 10 years on all timeframes is equal to 10 mb.
