Automated Trading Championship 2007: common mistakes in experts - page 9

I don't think so. Logs can reach tens of megabytes, and no one will load a web server with multiple downloads.

I was confused by the following, someone here on the forum said that he found fragments of other people's logs, i.e. the logs are still available? Besides if you look at the profiles of 2006 participants, there's a wonderful tab "Terminal" where everything you need is available.

It is a pity, but it would be useful, because during autotesting the Expert Advisor behaves "a bit" wrong and there is no chance to fix it without the logs.

There was a question today about the automatic checks.

We have already received over a dozen automated messages since the start of testing, with 12 messages stating that there were no errors and the testing time was just over 2 minutes, and one message stating the testing time of 4 min 58 seconds. And today we have got another message saying that testing time is 5 min 47 seconds, which is an error.

Now I have a question. The Expert Advisor was uploaded to the website 1.5 months ago and during this period it has not been modified once. What do you want me to do next? Urgently reduce the load in the EA or wait for the next autovalidation, which will again show 2 minutes?

Apparently, during testing your Expert Advisor was running some other time consuming process.
Do not worry, your EA will be re-tested today.

There was a case of publishing someone else's Autotester report (but not strategy tester logs) because of our mistake. Autotester logs are not published. Unfortunately, some participants do not hesitate to write large log files. That is why we have introduced a control rule - log files should not exceed 64 megabytes during 8 months.

Here are log files of some experts (two of them are even over a gigabyte):

If you upload such log files to a website and give access to them, no resources will be enough. Each participant can easily check the logs by running tests on their computer.

OK, I see the point.

Renat, you understand that testing on your own and on your computer are two big differences, so the ability to see how the expert behaves in the environment in which he will compete I personally think is very useful. This is a forward-looking opinion, now the topic can be closed.

Can you give me at least a small extract from the monster logs?

I can't imagine what can be output in such wild volumes.

Absolutely do not understand it. All steps for testing have been described in detail right in this thread in the first post. All results converge if the rules are followed exactly. If they don't, you missed something.
If you find discrepancies, post them here with all the evidence.
