Set to "delete 1 day":
-- the posts displayed in mini-chat and general chat are different (some posts are displayed in mini-chat and some only in main chat)
-- the latest posts are not visible in either chat -- the top of the latest post can only be read in the chat list before the next one arrives
-- if you click on "last N posts", the posts are replicated and not fully displayed
I suspect that the delete time somehow affects not only the time at which old messages are cut off, but also the time at which existing messages are displayed
-- "remove 1 day" does not show up in the list of posts (originally, when the limit was enabled, it said "User ... has enabled the restriction")
Once you have seen the beta and the beginning of the journey, don't jump to conclusions. You are not yet aware of what is coming next.

In Chrome (latest version), IE 11 (classic and tile version) - both mini chat and messages via profile are displayed correctly. Which browser do you have?
what do you suggest? -- bouncing around in browsers? -- maybe it would be easier to roll back to the Private Area before the Mini-chat, before this useless removal? before the mass of small and important innovations that "step by step" led to the amazing work of Private Area
