Question for Rann.

What happens when the limit is partially met? When modifying (adding a limit), will the volume of the limit be set correctly? And what will happen to the unfulfilled part of the limit? Will it then be fulfilled (there will be a surprise :)), or will it be deleted?

If we're talking about a normal limit (not a feature in the settings), then the part poured will turn into a trade when partially executed, and the limit with the same parameters will be re-set for the remaining volume.

Let us say we have a Buy Limit at 1.32000 in the volume of 1 lot and TP to it at 1.32500. The Bid price crosses it from top to bottom a little bit, the order is executed in the volume of 0.5 lots. Will the Take also be in the volume of 0.5 lots?

In a second, the second half of the order (let's assume) will be executed at 1.31999 and the take will be modified by adding volume?

Yes, the takes are saved for all parts. Otherwise it would have been a joint.

Good. Can a take be partially executed?

sumkin75:
OK. Can the take be partially fulfilled?
Why not?

TheXpert:
Why not?

That's how it should be written in the regulations - Anything is possible!

They don't seem to understand each other

Mr. Sumkin asked if the volume of TP will change when the limit is partially fulfilled.

The answer is obvious (in this case) - no.

The answer is obvious (in this case): No.

No. The answer to this question is on the previous page.

In fact, TP is a limit order. Can it be partially executed?

sumkin75:

No. The answer to that question is on the previous page.

Essentially, the take is a limit order. Can it be partially executed?

It can, I've already checked it somewhere on MT5 (not MT4 though).

No. The answer to that question is on the previous page.

So by definition any honest limit order can be partially executed
