How can I get streaming quotes and use Meta Trader 5 for U.S. stocks (I am brand new to Meta Trader)?

There is no list (does not exist).
I used 'search' to find the threads of MetaQuotes about the brokers here to open demo
account with them just to check the symbols/instruments they are proposing.

Ask the broker.
I think - if your account is connected with some stock exchange so it may be the real stock.
