Solo! and insisting to be that way... - page 5

Ok. Actually I think I'm running 1.2 on my home PC. This is my work PC. I'm trying do get someone else to get me some code so the EA will trade with other currencies while there already is a trade open. Feel like I'm missing out on some good trades BTW, what settings are you using?

Excellent! We all need the help.. I hope your friend succeeds!

I'm using default settings for now. I will be more encouraged to fiddle with the settings once the EA behaves.. I hope your friend can tame it

How come no one from TSD wants to help us?

Sincerely,

try this one see whether it works. Added slippage control. I think the reason it not open trade on different pair is because of we isolated the symbol() ? i dont know, just wondering.

Ok, I'll test it. Thanks

Finally! It works as required..

I'm not an elite coder but thank goodness we're there! I revised the code and ended up making 5 different versions Attached is version 5..

You'll notice that the option to choose a magic number is absent. I came across a cool EA that had most symbols and their related magic numbers pre-coded. Smart way to let the EA choose a unique magic # for each symbol it trades... Saves the user time too! I hope the owner of that EA forgives me for incorporating his idea into Solo I referenced him/her.

Anyways, I hope Solo delivers close as good a performance in real time as it performed during the back tests. I'll test it for a good time on demo before deciding on going live.

If anyone comes across a fine-tune, please share it with us... Here's something I came across this evening:

On M30 TF, GBPUSD, MM=True, TP=200, TS=35, F-MA=80, S-MA-120, Signal=25, MA-Period=250. The back-test had 30 trades in one year with 97% accuracy.. Only one loss. When default settings are used on Daily, 100%.

Of course, to verify any of the above in realtime, it will take some time. Good MACD signals take days to come by sometimes...

Ooops! I was about to attach a porn clip

Sincerly,

Hello Avalonish,

Thank you for your idea for strategy and to divide it.

I will try to test and I see in your last message that you use Daily and in the script of the ea there is H4.

Which unit of time you put?

Can you join your tests?

THX

Try on Daily, it's better on the same period like on H4

And with BIG risk but with Trailingstop

Bonjour et merci dmbsys

HI BrunoFX!; HI dmbsys!

I'm glad more of us will be testing Solo. You're right, it's the high risk part I'm worried about too. I'm yet to have confidence in the auto "close trade" saftey valve coded into the EA.

Reagarding the H4 and D1 TF, I'm currently using H4. It gives more trades than D1 and that's why the possibility of losing out on a few trades is higher than D1.

I believe we need patience - lots of it compared to other EAs, MACD-dependent EAs are like the diesel version of any vehicle. Slower but gets you from point A to point B more reliably than a high-octane vehicle

Then again, I might be wrong
