why does this EA stop incrementally increasing lot sizes at 10 lots?
Change MAXLots to whatever you feel like risking.
extern double MAXLots = 10.00;
This also correlates with the "Risk" setting...
Risk = 1.5;
Risk is your % amount of total account risk you are willing to have in play.
I need to put this out there....
If an indavidual cann't make successfull trades manually. And doesn't fully understand the way the market works, under all conditions. Then they are not going to be able to fully adjust an EA to do it for them.
You must understand all aspects of the market and its varieing conditions. Then you can begin to adjust an EA to accomidate those conditions.
What works this month might not work next month. What works last year might not work next month or next year.
If you adjust your EA to get rich over the last 2 months and have no success on a forward test this week or next month then you are experiancing what I am saying.
And the forward test that did great this week or this month might not back test good for last july.
Just my 2 cents worth.
DaveCouldn't agree more Dave! and of course there is an ongoing learning curve to that too.
Sometimes some settings work well... we gotta test it.
Me and my friend developed a setting (for CybTrd v1.88c) that can work well on almost everymonth, but of course that the results aren't really good:
Gave us 7 consecutive successful trades, in 1 week. None loss. Profit of $72.
I am talking about a real account.
On backtesting (takes very long due to valuesperiodcount=240) it gives us much better results.
It can survive every month on backtesting with a initial deposit of $200.
Until now, I am having good results on REAL ACCOUNT.

Currency: EURxUSD
Initial Deposit: $120 to $200.
Results so far on REAL ACCOUNT: 72 dollars (from 09/17/2006 to 21/09/2006)

why does this EA stop incrementally increasing lot sizes at 10 lots?
mine stopped placing .01-.09 now only .1-.9 And I did nothing to change it.
whats your RISK set at vs account size in relation to lot size?

But looks like your on the right track.
remember news time that you cann't avoid could be making results look worse than what they would be avoiding all news on a real money account running it.

my risk and account size and max lots are all the same as they have been.
fxdd may have changed something since they don't deal in micro lots.
