Dear traders, after having voluntarily removed the HFT FAST M1 GOLD SCAPER V6 EA a couple of months ago, and receiving hundreds of messages—having listened to both “camps”: those who asked me to tame the beast, and those who got very upset when I actually did limit it—I realized that both sides were right, but it’s impossible to please different types of traders with different styles and levels of aggressiveness in trading.
After running tons of tests with this beastly EA, I concluded that the ideal approach is to let it run only for a short period each day. How long? Long enough to make 6% daily and then happily step away.
I want to clarify that this EA is not for those who DO NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, nor for those who want to do something different like setting a 15% daily profit or letting it run for 12 hours, nor for those who ignore the rules out of greed or request modifications based on their own trading style (more/less aggressive).
This EA is for you if you are able to follow instructions and understand that the trading style proposed below is the one that will be used—no changes will be made.
Instructions for Operation 🚀📊
1- Weekly Capital Management 💰
- The month is divided into 4 or 5 weeks (depending on the calendar).
- Each week, 100 USD is assigned to the EA. (Of course, you can use whatever capital you wish, but as an example, we’ll use the smallest possible capital).
- At the end of the week—on Fridays—profits are withdrawn, so that every new week starts again with the same 100 USD at risk.
- The EA will operate within the predefined schedule until it reaches 6% in daily profits or hits the MaxDailyLossPercentage. Then it stops trading until the next day. This is crucial for daily risk management and must be respected.
2- Example of Weekly Results 📝
• Week 1: The EA earns 35 USD profit on a capital of 100 USD, which is +35% 🔥.
• Week 2: The EA earns 34 USD profit on a capital of 100 USD, equal to +34% 💸.
• Week 3: The EA incurs an 11 USD loss (out of 100 USD) ⚠️.
• Week 4: The EA once again incurs an 11 USD loss (out of 100 USD) ⚠️.
In this scenario, the typical behavior is that when the EA has a winning week, it usually achieves around +30%–35%. Meanwhile, on losing weeks (when it reaches its maximum drawdown, set at 30%), it tends to end up with a loss of about 10–15 USD.
The EA has a great recovery capability. Therefore, after a day with losses upon hitting its max DD limit, it keeps operating the following days to trim that loss and reduce the final quantitative impact 🙌.
3- Considerations About Drawdown (DD) 📉
Usually, the daily or weekly drawdown ranges from 2% to 25%. If it reaches a 30% DD (its maximum limit), the EA will stop trading for that day. Under normal conditions—using a good ECN account with low latency—it rarely hits that limit.
4- Account Requirements and Connection 🌐⚡
It’s essential to use ECN accounts with fast execution. Because this is an HFT system that also trades Gold (XAUUSD), slippage can severely affect performance. We recommend using a VPS if your internet connection is unstable, or if you need to shut down your PC. The EA requires a constant connection—just one minute offline can be catastrophic.
5- Slippage 🤔
If your account consistently has, for example, 20–30 pips of slippage, the EA will yield much lower-than-expected performance and increased drawdowns. This EA is not designed to handle extremely high spreads or slippage on Gold; slippage up to 10 pips is tolerable, but beyond that, the results deteriorate drastically. To help you monitor your current slippage, you will see a Slippage label at the lower right corner of the chart. Under normal conditions with a good ECN broker, the figure should remain low most of the time ✅. Check your operating schedule to place the EA in the timeframe best suited to your broker (this will reduce slippage). Ask me if you’re unsure!
6- Operating Hours Based on Slippage ⏰
The EA is preconfigured to operate during a specific time window (between TimeStart and TimeEnd). If your broker applies excessive spreads or slippage during certain sessions (for example, New York or London), you can adjust that schedule so it trades during less volatile periods. Adjusting the trading hours can greatly improve performance, as it avoids windows where Gold experiences spread spikes and slippage.
Conclusion 🏆
Each week, 100 USD is placed at risk, and profits are withdrawn every Friday. The EA can generate about +30% weekly returns when market and execution conditions (spread + slippage) are favorable. Conversely, some weeks may see a loss of around 10–15 USD. The maximum configured drawdown is 30%, and if it’s reached, the EA stops trading for the rest of the day, allowing it to continue in subsequent days to minimize the loss. The key is ensuring good market conditions: an ECN account, low latency, using a VPS (ideal), and avoiding excessive spread periods.
How to Properly BACKTEST HFT Fast M1 V8 📊
You can backtest it as long as it’s done on a WEEKLY basis. Because the proposed strategy for this EA is to risk the same capital repeatedly and withdraw profits each Friday (to keep potential losses under control), you must avoid greed and follow the guidelines. This EA involves risk, so it’s not advisable to allocate more capital than you’re willing to lose. After all, losing 10–15 USD is one thing (on a 100 USD capital), but losing what you earned the previous week doubles the loss—do you see the point? Of course, a monthly backtest might show higher profits (because it drags over previous days/weeks’ gains), but DD will skyrocket as well as the associated risk and potential losses. PLEASE FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDATIONS.
Although EAs are often evaluated by their monthly performance, it’s both valid and sensible to use a weekly capital management strategy. Then, at the end of the month, you’ll see that by using the same capital repeatedly, you can achieve a certain monthly percentage while having locked in profits weekly.
