“ Continuum EA was born from the need to have a short-term trading with operational signals.”
The logic behind this system is based on one entry per candle.
A check based on multiple moving averages detects the direction of the trade.
The EA immediately opens a trade and places a pending averaging order at the desired distance and lot.
It is possible through settings to modify the operation of averaging in the F7 panel, working with Limit or Stop orders.
The system includes TP and SL, both calculated in total pips, taking into account all open lots and entry points.
An average closing price is then virtually calculated, both positive and negative, including commissions and swap costs.
An operating time filter is also included and a forced close of all trades at the set time, so you can renew a new trading start day by day.
- Update 1.1 - the new recovery mode, a feature to add more pending orders only after all averaging orders are open, including an increasing risk factor.
- Update 1.2 - the new equity TP and SL mode, another way to control your risk reward based on equity DD or profit.
- Update 1.3 - a better recovery mode logic.
- Update 1.4 - trailing step and lock functions. Default settings are also updated for better performance.
- Update 1.5 - upgraded recovery mode
Keep in mind that negative distance values generate Limit pending orders, positive values generate Stop pending orders.
Furthermore, the maximum number of positions takes into account only the positions opened by the EA and pending orders not yet active must be added to these.
So if the "maximum number of orders" is 2 as it is by default, the EA will open 2 trades and place 2 pending orders, for a potential total of 4 trades, if pending is triggered.
Pending orders cancel themselves if a TP, SL is hit or if the "Close all at specified time" function is used.
